Grocers and retailers alike tell us about current door gaskets offerings that degrade too quickly, are energy inefficient and have significant air leakage. Gaskets are subject to a great deal of wear and tear due to case restocking and doors being constantly opened and closed. This results in air leakage that drives up energy use, and may lead to ice formation in freezers, making products unappealing to shoppers and compromising temperature stability and food integrity.

Solution

PartsOne’s gasket assurance program maximizes your energy efficiency as well as product quality. Our program includes replacing your cooler and freezer gaskets store-wide in complete retrofits, which ensures peace of mind with a three-year warranty. If our gaskets fail within that time frame, we will replace them for FREE. Guaranteed. Essentially, we sell our gaskets in combination with an insurance overlay so you can focus on your business.

How it works

When you sign up for our gasket assurance program, we ensure gasket peace of mind for three years as a part of the following process:

1. We define a specific number of stores within a targeted region.
2. We agree on a budget as well as start and end date for the three-year period.
3. We retrofit the gaskets in the defined stores.
4. We schedule annual visits to check your stores’ gaskets.
5. If we find a problem, we connect you to an authorized installer to have it replaced for free. Our three-year warranty covers any gaskets that need replacing. We cover any labor during year one and you cover labor costs after that.
6. Use our warranty tracker to ensure peace of mind.
7. You do nothing, except for focusing on your business.

Performance

Our new LifePlus Gasket^® uses long lasting polymers that form and maintain an air-tight seal at low temperatures and stand up to repeated door use far better than conventional PVC gaskets. Side-by-side testing concludes that LifePlus Gasket is 5X more durable than PVC gaskets. More durable gaskets deliver reduced maintenance and energy costs. In addition, we recommend that when we install new gaskets, we also update doors with a new “standard hold-open,” which, when used with a brand new gasket can also help extend gasket life by ensuring the proper door functionality 

The LifePlus Gasket has been rigorously tested to last over 250,000 cycles without wear and tear, five times longer than PVC Gaskets. Field testing at grocery and other retail outlets shows that LifePlus Gaskets exhibit minimal gasket deterioration and continued superior sealing performance up to 500,000 cycles.

During a Shore Hardness Test, LifePlus Gasket maintained its shape 13% more than PVC gaskets, for a more uniform and airtight seal between the cooler and door frame, as shown in this graph:
